Ah! My Goddess Sorezore no Tsubasa TV2 - 26? eps

My First Impressions: So very much like S1, just a continuation. Art still a disappointment. It's obvious though that in this season we'll see Peorth and Rind! I'm so watching it if only to see Rind be cool ^^;;

Air Gear - ? eps

Summary: Minami Ikki is a 15 year old boy and leader of East Side Gunz, a highschool gang. After being humiliated by a street gang using Air Track (AT), he's given a pair (of these self-propelled shoes) to deal with the street gang. But he finds he really likes the flying sensation... so what will happen next?
My First Impressions: This is very competitive sports like. It's okay so far, but nothing great imo. Things are a bit predictable for me.
Other Comments: Ice - It starts off following the manga, but maybe a bit more faster developing than it is layed out in the manga. I am still looking forward to more of it.

My First Impressions: just like S1. It's a nice anime to watch when you want something slow, maybe cute and sweet. Has some funny moments too. If you liked S1 you'll definitely like S2.

My First Impressions: So it wasn't bad until the last 5 mins then a lot of nonsense stuff happened. I don't really like it despite the action, so I may give this 1 more ep but I don't know.

Dai Mahou Touge - OVA ? eps

My First Impressions: I skimmed through ep1-2 and it seemed weird and stupid to me, but you never know, might be weird in an amusing way for other people.

(Makai Senki) Disgaea - 12 eps

Summary: Based on the popular game by Nippon Ichi. After sleeping for two years, Laharl, the prince of the Netherworld, finds the Netherworld in chaos due to the death of his father, King Krichevskoy. Not wasting any time, he sets out to coquer the Netherworld and proclaim himself as Ruler, with the help of Etna.
My First Impressions: lol I like it. It's kind of silly but also seems interesting. I like the art too, which is similar to the game's from what I can tell. Has potential to be really good.
Other Comments: Ice - Disgaea anime is great. I was tempted to buy the game a long while back, but never did. After watching the first episode, I want to buy it more so.

Ergo Proxy - 23 eps (licensed)

Summary: "Romudo" is a domed utopia where humans and autoraves (robots) live together without feelings under a complete management control. Lir Mayer, a female inspector from the Citizen Information Bureau, with her autorave Iggy are assigned to solve some murder cases. She is soon attacked by a creature, neither human nor android, and learns about the mysterious "Awakening" which will change Romudo's future.
My First Impressions: It seemed like it starts in the middle (ie no intro), and its selling point is a goth chic doing action-y things. Just not enough for me to like it.
Other Comments: Ice - I am liking for its story, plus I think Lil is a good character. Her need to fufill her curiosity probes the story's depth further faster than other stories.

Gakuen Heaven - 13? eps

Summary: Based on game by Spray. Ito Keita has nothing good but his looks. One day he receives a letter to enter an elite boys boarding school. At this school he's supposed to spend his days of battles and sweet romance with handsome boys.
My First Impressions: I said I was not watching, and I kind of wish I didn't. This is totally harem-ish anime but all boys. So you have like 10 boys all being interested in the new transfer boy in the first ep. What's worse... the animation isn't all that great, they're not even really good looking bishie imo.

Glass no Kantai - 24 eps

Summary: In the past, a war was fought between the Aristocrat Alliance and the New Aristocrats. When the New Aristocrats won, their leader Vettii founded the new Holy Empire, but he ruled like a tyrant. The People's Army lead by Michelle is fighting against Vettii and his government. One day, Michelle and some followers sneak into a wedding ceremony to steal a territory ship, but they are countered by Macconnais. Just when Michelle was going to surrender, their group is saved by the Glass Battleship, captained by Cleo. Cleo, a decendent of the royal family, plans to conquer the universe and restore the royal family. [animenfo]
My First Impressions: The clothing is enough to scare me, the art isn't so great, the story might sounds good, but there's just nothing good to say about it.

My First Impressions: The description didn't sound so interesting, but ep1 seemed interesting. Art is nothing spectacular, but good. The story sounds intriging so we'll see how it turns out. The series is short anyway.

.hack//Roots - 26 eps

Summary: Prequel to .hack//G.U. the game. After CC Corp's datacenter caught fire in 2015, they've spliced the data and rebuilt the game into "The World R:2." Haseo is told by Ovan that he has a special talent, but what is it? And what's the point of the guild Ovan is organizing called "Twilight Brigade." The anime apparently covers the time Haseo spends with Shino and Ovan in the guild before the game begins (for those of you that know it).
My First Impressions: It's very much like hack//sign though I hope it doesn't go at the same pace. It seems like the pace will be a tad faster, but the art isn't so great (I guess not that much worse than hack//sign though). To me, not very impressive but not too bad either, I'll have to give it another couple of eps before I decide whether to continue this one.

Hellsing Ultimate - OVA 2+ eps

Summary: Retelling of Hellsing, but supposedly follows much more closely to the manga than the TV series did.
My First Impressions: I like it because it's more condensed, but I really really don't like the art.
Other Comments: Ice - Episode one should be the only real recap episode... maybe 2, but after that it should diverge from the TV series and follow the manga instead; the tv release was mostly a unique story-line.

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni - 26 eps

Summary: Based on the game by 7th Expansion. Maebara Keiichi is a young teenager who has recently moved to the rural village of Hinamizawa with his family. He adjusts well, makes new friends, and lives his days happily, until someone is murdered... Every year on the same day in June during the years 1979-1983, someone was murdered, but no one knows what really happened, whether it was a plot, accident, or curse.
My First Impressions: creepy in some scenes. I like how the rest of the anime is very happy-go-lucky-like-your-typical-school-anime but they're hints of the mysterious part. Gets creepier in ep2 (and I'm told in ep3) which is good. I really like it so far, ep1 seems to only give you a very small hint of how it's going to turn out.

Himawari - ? eps

My First Impressions: The characters are a bit weird and seems like your typical girl is in love with older man type love-comedy but with ninjas. I may give it another ep, but it doesn't interest me a great deal.

Inukami! - ? eps

Summary: Kawahira Keita is a descendent of the Inugami tamer family, but due to his lack of abilities, he was forsaken by the family. One day, an Inugami named Yoko appears and Keita forms a contract with her. But no one has been able to control troublesome Yoko before. To make it worse, Keita likes girls and money, but Yoko easily gets jealous and likes to destroy things. [animenfo]
My First Impressions: perveted, anime that... seems to have no point to it. That's all I have to say.

Joshikousei - 13? eps

Summary: Eriko, Yumi, and Ayano have finally entered Yambuki Girls' High School which they always dreamed of in order to become stylish students. But when their dream is shattered when they face reality.
My First Impressions: This is seriously all about pantie shots. It's kind of interesting in that it shows how crappy school life can be but otherwise, it seems generic and boring to me.

Summary: A 15-year old boy, Zedd, frustrated with his daily life is invited by a mysterious wind to dive into a space-time crevasse. He arrives in a world where "Shard Casters" fight endlessly using magical "Shards" and control "Spirits." Fasciated, Zedd aims to become a Shard Caster without knowing that inside him resides "Amil Gaul," a great spirit that can change the future of the world.
My First Impressions: Honestly, it kind of reminds me of things like yugioh or pokemon, where you have to beat everyone else and whatever. The art isn't anything great, and neither are the spirits. This anime didn't really impress me, but I'll give it a couple more eps, it looks like it might be enjoyable anyway.

Love Get Chu - ? eps

Five girls have started at a training school to become voice actresses, each with different reasons: Momoko wants to meet her favorite voice actress, Rinka doesn't have any particular reason, Yurika really likes anime, Tsubasa was in love and acts as a boy, Amane wasn't successful as an actress.

NANA - ? eps

Summary: From the same creator as Paradise Kiss. Komatsu Nana and Osaki Nana meet on a train headed for Tokyo. They soon become friends because of their similar names. Osaki wants to fulfill her dreams to be a musician. Komatsu and Osaki meet again while searching for an apartment and decide to live together. We follow both through their love lives and career as their friendship deepens.
My First Impressions: I really like it so far. It is kinda parakiss like, but for those who never watched parakiss: I really like how the 2 main characters are so different yet somehow fit together. It's a neat drama feel which is supported by the art (also similar to parakiss), which has a different style than most other animes imo.
Other Comments: ploudret - If you enjoyed Paradise Kiss, you'll like this. Less fashion, more music but characters are more developed.
                             Ice - Nana I enjoyed. ^-^ Very much like Paradise Kiss, only, as you said, music instead of fashion.

Ouran High School Host Club - ? eps

Summary: Ouran High School is for the rich and famous. All the students have so much time on their hands that Haruhi can't find a place to study (the poorest student to get in on a scholarship). In search for a quiet room, she happens to enter the Host Club clubroom, but accidently breaks an 8 million yen vase (oh no!) and to repay her doubt she's forced to join the club.
My First Impressions: This is actually based on a current favourite manga of mine. The anime has a refreshing art style that I really like, fitting its comedy style very well. The story may seem a bit crossdressing typical, but there are a lot of funny moments and enjoyable. Just don't expect it to be big drama or anyhthing deep.
Other Comments: TigerStrike - First ep has some good comedy and manages to not be predictable (possibly the only anime this season to accomplish that).

Princess Princess - ? eps

Summary: Tooru Ryo has just transferred to an all-boys school and receives a warm welcome, but little does he know that he's been nominated to be a "Princess." Ray the Animation - ? eps

Summary: A spinoff of Black Jack. Ray is a nurse and medical doctor at night, but has a horrible past she wants to forget and can't. She was bread on an organ-donour farm and had her eyes taken out as a child. One day, she was saved and given X-Ray eyes. Now, ten years later, she is going to face her "home," the man who took her eyes, and the organization that he's apart of.
My First Impressions: It's not bad, art is decent, but some of it is soooo unrealistic. I mean I can accept the x-ray eyes thing, but some of the fighting skills of the characters, it's harder to accept somehow, at least for me. So I might give it one more ep, but probably not something I'll keep watching. Black Jack fans will probably like it lots more than me.

Renkin San-kyuu Magical? Pokaan - ? eps

One week has passed since they began to live in a hut looks like a birds nest on a big tree. Because they were not accustomed to the human life, their life was in a mess; Liru was about to be shot a shiver bullet, Pachira turned into ashes, Aiko was infected by virus, and Uma exposed her chest in public. My First Impressions: I only watched half, because it became obvious that the whole thing is a "how many panty shots can we get in 20 mins?"

School Rumble Second Semester - 13? eps

Summary: Continues where S1 left off. Harima is still failing to confess to Tenma, Class 2-D challenges 2-C again, and rumours are abound.

Other Comments: Ice - Yes, it is like the first season with all the great, classic humor as only School Rumble could. It relates to Azumanga Daioh very well, only with male characters also in the main cast instead of all females.

Sin in the Rain - OVA 1? ep

Summary: In Tokyo on a rainy night, Kimura Yu is soaked to the skin. She was traumatized when her parents were killed and recently her councilor, Kanzaki, was killed. Takamiza Kyosukie, a detective, suddenly appears to save her. As Oki, an officer, suspects Yu and investigates her, but consecutive murders are still occuring. Yu is also afraid that she did kill Kanzaki, so with the help of Takamiza, they chase down the criminal together.

Simoun - ? eps

Summary: On the Great Air Continent, everyone is born as a female, but at 15 years old, they choose their sex to become "adult." The main characters live in a country that is at war, because their neighbouring country is after their superior engine. In order to fight, the ceremony plane Simoun is changed into a fighter and an air squad "Call" is organized of "Mediums," girls who haven't decided their sex yet. The girls who can operate "Simoun" are called "Simoun Siwula" because they have special abilities and can choose when to become an "adult" by themselves, but because of the war they've been forced to stay "girls."
My First Impressions: First off *yuri warning* well some, it's not the focus of the story, but seemingly a consequence of the situation. Anyway, the animation isn't great, and the story seems to be lacking somehow.

Soul Link - 12 eps

Summary: Based on game by NAVEL. AD 2045 Aizawa Ryota travels to Aries, a space station, for military training with his classmates Nagase Saka and Nittak Kazuhiko, but then a terrorist group attacks. What happens next?
My First Impressions: Has potential to be good still, but so far just okay for me. The characters are kind of ... weird though imo. Nothing bad with the art, and characters look like they'll develop.
Other Comments: TigerStrike - looks like Stellvia kinda, but slowed waaaay down and not as good.

Strawberry Panic - ? eps

Summary: On Astrea Hill, a sacred place where men cannot enter, there are three girl schools: St. Miatre Academy, St. Spica Academy, and St. Le Rim Academy. Aoi Nagisa, a new transfer student to St. Miatre, meets "Etoile" aka Hanazono Shizuma on her first day. When Nagisa is frozen by Shizuma's beauty and Shizuma approaches her... well it's only the beginning of Nagisa's life at the academy.
My First Impressions: This reminds me a lot of Maria-sama, meaning *warning of yuri* This seems like your typical drama of the new average girl being pursued by a bunch of students, including the star of the schools, but in this case it's all girls. I really like it for some reason, maybe because of the main character like I did with maria-sama. The main character reminded me of .. me in many ways, and she had a lot of funny expressions, so I enjoyed watching it.

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu - ? eps

Summary: Suzumiya Haruhi is dead serious when she introduces herself by oddly proclaiming "I'm not interested in ordinary people. If there are any aliens, beings from the future, or super-humans, come see me. That is all!" Many students wonder if Haruhi is serious, but then she goes so far as to establish the "SOS Brigade. "
My First Impressions: ep1 is actually ep0, so if you want the actual anime it starts ep2. This is actually really funny in a crazy way. If nothing else, the animation is awesome. The animation movement is even better than Air. A wacky and funny anime so far.
Other Comments: ninotachi - If you like absolute weirdness and randomness, then you should watch it. The detail they put into making the rest of it look like a bad amateur film is the part that impresses me XD The first ep is hmmm, but the second ep gets it going. I recommend watching ep2 to see if you like the style of sardonic comments coupled with a peculiar character immersed in some excellent animation.

Tactical Roar - 13 eps

                              Ice - All female crew plus the one guy, so no clue how or where this one is going. Watching it out of boredom myself.

The Third: Aoi Hitomi no Shoujo - ? eps

Summary: An interplanetary war has been going on for centuries and civlizations are ruined. Only 1/5th of the human population is left. My First Impressions: With only 1 ep kind of hard to tell, but so far it looks really interesting. The art is a bit odd here and there, but good action and interesting premise.
Other Comments: TigerStrike - interesting story, very high quality animation and good characters... very rare to have all 3 in just the first ep.

Summary: A different type of depiction of a grade 5 class revolving around Sato Ryota. A bright and active boy who always manages to get into ecchi troubles with his classmates.
My First Impressions: I was a bit weirded out and disturbed considering it's an elementary school class, but I'm a girl. Mini eps within the bigger eps, so nice and short segments.

Tokko - 13 eps

Summary: Shindou just became a new investigator for Tokki: The Special Mobile Investigation Force. On the day of his graduation, he finally saw the half-naked girl that he had always saw in his dream in real life and finds out that she`s part of Tokko: The Special Public Safety Task Force. Shindou ends up joining Tokko to revenge his parents` death who`s bodies were ripped into pieces... [anidb]
My First Impressions: It's kind of weird, reminds me of Blood in some ways (girl killing monsters with sword), but revolves around a guy related by surviving the last massive killing 5 years ago. It has potential, so I'll definitely give it a couple more eps. Only 13 eps anyway, so not too long.

Witchblade - 26 eps

My First Impressions: First ep was kinda meh, the art isn't bad, but the first episode really didn't catch my attention at all. Though I'll give it a 2nd ep at least before deciding.

Utawarerumono - 26 eps

Summary: Based on a game by Leaf/Aquaplus. In a world where humans have ears and tails, Eruru, who lives in a small villages, saves a masked man who has just barely escaped death but also has amnesia. Eruru's grandfather names the man Hakuoro, but what will happen as a consequence of saving this mysterious man?
My First Impressions: I really like it so far. I don't think the OP gives too much away, at least not more than most do. I like it so far, it'll be interesting to see what this masked man is all about. Art is pretty good, nothing was bad that I remember. Character development seems to be there too.
Other Comments: Ice - A unique approach as it starts with a man without his memory, so everything you see is as new to the viewer as to him. The opening credits give a bit too much away though as far as later development - as far as 5 episodes into the story at least.

xxxHolic - ? eps

Summary: Based on the popular Clamp manga. Watanuki Kimihiro is always being pursued by ghosts and spirits. One day he meets a mysterious woman named Yuuko, who claims she can end his torment, but for a price. He must work at her shop, but what strange things will he encounter?
My First Impressions: The mood is good, and it's very similar to the manga, but I don't like the art in that it's similar but they're even more stickly (ie. their legs are even longer). Some small elements here and there I'm not too fond of. Still, overall it's a good anime.
Other Comments: Ice - xxxHolic is similar to it's manga. Glad the series is finally out because the manga was good, but think the animated version is better a bit.
                             ninotachi - Watanuki's voice is better in the anime imo (compared to the movie) even though it's the same, and less flailing limbs is good, but his limbs seem to be even longer if that's possible. I consider the changes to be relatively unimportant and it does give a good glimpse of what holic deals with.

Summary: Mishima Touko and Mishima Rinko are "Dream Users", people who have power of the "world of dreams". Their job is to solve mysteries and fight evil in this dream world (created by the human spirit). At the request of a middle-school student named Nakajima Kei, they investigate the mystery of a dead girl from two years ago, and a seemingly related incident where twenty-four girls all became pregnant, but never delivered. The 24 girls were all from the same class as the dead girl. The mystery grows to encompass the entire school as well as a legend thousands of years old... [anidb]
My First Impressions: It's kind of silly in some ways, kind of weird in others, looks like it might be episodic. The art is a tad off in some places I think, but overall not bad. I definitely have to give it one more ep before deciding, but so far it's kind of cute and funny.

Zegapain - ? eps

Summary: Kyo was a normal active boy, spending his school days at a school near Maihama, Chiba prefecture. One day he meets the transfer student, Shizuno and then everything changes as he gets invovled with mecha battles in another world.
My First Impressions: <never downloaded somehow, so probably not going to watch unless someone recommends it>
Other comments: TigerStrike - Formulaic Mecha Anime - Boy meets girl, girl gives him giant mecha, boy saves world.
                             Ice - very similar to Aquarion with the art styles, drawings, and fast development at the beginning. Might even be same author or makers. ^-^
