Summary: The time is 1920, five years after National Prohibition Law took place at a city called Lorel in the United States. Main character Avilo arrives to join the Vampiro family mafia undercover in order to seek revenge of killers who killed his parents and brother in this mafia. A Killing starts kills. Revenge starts new revenge. A story of vengeance and sorrow starts now.
My First Impressions: Somehow I thought this would be more interesting. The plot moves forward fast enough, but somehow the characters are not very intriguing. Art and animation are average. I may watch one or two more episodes, but will likely drop this.

Summary: In the "military history fantasy" series, the Katvarna Empire is at war with the neighboring Republic of Kioka. In the Katvarna Empire, the lazy, woman-admiring Ikuta hates war, but due to certain circumstances, he grudgingly takes the High Grade Military Officer Exam. No one would have expected that this 17-year-old young man would eventually become a soldier called a great commander by others. Ikuta survives this world engulfed in war with his superior intellect.
My First Impressions: After 3 eps, this is at least more interesting than I expected. So far the characters are pretty stereotypical, and the art is below average, but so far, the battle tactics and such are interesting enough to keep me watching. Plot also moves fairly quickly. Has potential, but not highly recommended. May or may not last the season for me depending on its direction.

Summary: Having lost his wife, math teacher Inuzuka Kouhei is doing his best to raise his young daughter Tsumugi as a single father. He's pretty bad at cooking and doesn't have a huge appetite to begin with, but chance brings his little family and one of his students, Iida Kotori, together for homemade adventures. With those three cooks in the kitchen, it's no wonder this dinner table drama is so delicious.
My First Impressions: Watched ep1 and thought it was cute, but by ep2, I was already sick of the characters. The kid is too overenthusiastic and simple, the teenage girl is the same, and the dad I just don't feel for. <not watching unless recommended>

My First Impressions: It has a bit of a moyashimon feel to it. Unfortunately, the main character is your typical ignorant-boy-turns-out-he-can-see-yokai-and-ends-up-involved type and very dumb. He over-reacts to everything like a 5-year-old (which turns into a running joke). I will continue watching this for now since there's enough about the other characters that I like, but if the main character gets too annoying, I will drop it.

My First Impressions: I *really* liked the manga. It seems the anime is a very faithful adaptation, so I'm not watching it, but if you like slice of life with a slightly twist to it, I would definitely recommend this one.

Summary: Several decades ago, a mysterious enemy called the Unknown invaded the Earth, and several children were evacuated to a cold sleep facility in order to escape the invasion. Years later, the children awake from their slumber and learn that their bodies have developed various supernatural abilities. In order to protect the country from the Unknown emerging from the Tokyo Bay Gate, the boys and girls set up defense in Tokyo, Kanagawa and Chiba, and fight for the sake of humanity.
My First Impressions: After 3 eps, the characters and plot still seem very stereotypical. Art and animation are okay, but not great either. End of ep 3 is a supposed cliffhanger and if the character in danger dies, then this anime will suddenly take a much darker turn, which would be cool. I will watch at least one or two more episodes, but it's not something I'd recommend.

My First Impressions: Watched 2 eps or so. It's interesting and boring at the same time. The art and animation are average. The story is a good mix of drama and action, but for some reason the action sequences are boring. The "evil" people are also kind of boring so far. My First Impressions: While the premise doesn't sound that interesting, this turned out be a really interesting slice of life kind of anime with a bit of a twist. The characters are well done, animation and art is decent, and the sound effects and music are really good. Sadly, season 1 does not finish the story since it's based on the manga and that's still running, but still recommended.

Summary: Rewrite is set in the fictional city Kazamatsuri, where treeplanting and afforestation have caused the city to become overgrown with trees and flowers in much the same way that other cities are filled by buildings. However, while most of the city appears to be rural, there are many traditional city elements as well. While set in a modern setting, the city also gives off a strange sense of nostalgia. Tennouji Kotarou lives here. He's a high school student who has the ability to rewrite his own body; he can become stronger and faster at any time he chooses. He investigates supernatural mysteries with five girls from his school.
My First Impressions: skimmed through, the art goes from standard to mediocre often, and the characters seem... boring. <not watching unless recommended>

Summary: In an Eastern-styled fantasy setting, a brother and sister team of sacred guardians is beset by the Xuan Gui Zong, minions of Miè Tian Hai, who seeks the Tian Xing Jiàn sword that they possess. Hai’s appearance leads to the defeat of the brother, but his sister, Dan Fei, jumps off a cliff to temporary safety. Later, a wandering swordsman comes across a ruined temple, where a statue of Buddha is protected by an umbrella against the rain. When he takes the umbrella for himself, a man resting under a tree nearby informs him that he must be compassionate to the next traveler he meets as a trade-off for taking the umbrella. That next traveler is Dan Fei, still being pursued by the Xuan Gui Zong minions. Both his promise and the enemy’s sorcery leaves the wanderer unable to avoid getting involved.
My First Impressions: I can tell you it's not actually anime but filmed using dolls. It's different, but looks terrible.<not watching>
